I wonder if I might urgently ask your help?
We have an application in with the Aviva Community Fund for just under £5,000 to provide 3 x CU SP-1 defibrillators, 3 x External Cabinets to have them as 24/7 Community Public Access Defibrillators (CPADs) 3 x SP-1 Trainer Defibrillators, and a couple of new Brayden Illuminated manikins to help with our FREE Basic Life Support (BLS) training courses and other Subsidised First Aid Courses (1-day EFW, 2-day PFA, and 3-day FAW).
The CPADs will be sited on WANDS Children’s Centre (Covering Westlands Estate) St Peter’s Scout Hut (Covering the Cockshute Hill/Winslow Avenue Estates) and SN Financial Services (Covering lower Saltway/Vines Park)
If we get to Aviva’s judging panel in December I am sure that we will have a good chance of being awarded a grant as our project actually hits all four of Aviva’s criteria for 2017, albeit we have applied under their Health and Welfare category. But to get to the judging panel we first have to be subject to a public vote. Thousands of projects have applied for these grants, and undoubtedly they are all worthwhile. Some of them no doubt will be from bigger towns and cities with larger voting populations.
We need therefore to “Rally the Troops” to get every possible vote we can. Voting is now open using the link below, their site is busy today (Tuesday 24th) but will no doubt calm down a bit tomorrow onwards. Voting closes on 20th November. Everybody has ten votes so they can vote for more than one project (fairly obviously I’d like all ten votes please!).
It will take about five minutes to register and vote. PLEASE vote for us now at https://www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/voting/project/view/17-2707
Please also could I ask everyone to send this to all family, friends, colleagues and neighbours, and also ask them to forward it on to their contacts as well, we will need every possible vote if we are to be successful in this bid to save lives. Is there any way this can be sent across HWFRS?
I have attached an A4 poster that you might find useful to put on a notice board.
With sincere thanks for your kind attention and help.
